Dominik Hasek – a former NHL player who won two Stanley Cups during his career – took a shot at the former president Donald Trump when he thanked rapper Eminem in a Wednesday post for supporting Vice President Kamala Harris.

Eminem stumped in Detroit to support Harris and introduced the former President Barack Obama who was also at a Harris rally.

“Thanks, Eminem for your support of democracy against dictatorships, evils, and endless lies.” Hasek posted on X that he spent “a beautiful part of hockey career” in the city.

From 1990 to 2008, the Hockey Hall of Famer was a member of the NHL. He played for the Chicago Blackhawks as well as Buffalo Sabres Detroit Red Wings, and Ottawa Senators.

His ability to stop shots earned him the nickname “The Dominator”. From 1993 to 1999, he led the NHL for six consecutive seasons in saving percentage. He led the NHL in shutouts on four occasions. In 1997-98, he had 13 shutouts and in 2000-01, he had 11.

Hasek has won two Stanley Cups with the Red Wings.

Eminem spoke about the importance of getting out and voting.

He said, “Going into this election, we are in the spotlight more than ever. I believe it is important to use your voice. Please go vote.”

Eminem has been a staunch critic of Trump since he took office in 2017.
