Texas Democrat candidate Beto O’Rourke lashed out at someone who laughed after he criticized gun owner’s laws following the Uvalde school massacre.

O’Rourke was a former U.S. Senator. O’Rourke is a former U.S. Senator, unsuccessful U.S. Senate candidate, and presidential candidate. O’Rourke was speaking to a Mineral Wells audience on Wednesday as he campaigned to remove Republican Texas Governor Greg Abbott.

“Now, eleven weeks have passed since 19 children died from a gun intended for combat. The gun was legally purchased by an 18-year-old, who did not try to obtain one when he was 16-17 or 18. However, he obeyed the law that stated that you could buy two or more AR-15s if needed,” O’Rourke stated.

O’Rourke claimed, “Hundreds upon rounds of ammunition.” To penetrate enemy soldiers at 500 feet, take the weapon originally designed for Vietnam’s battlefields. O’Rourke briefly sat and pointed out the distance.

“Up against children …” O’Rourke continues but before hearing laughter, and turning around.

As his supporters cheer, he shouts “It may seem funny to you mother f***er, but not for me.”

The crowd cheers O’Rourke on and stands as he continues speaking.

He stated, “We’re going to make sure our children who start their school years right away don’t have to worry about someone walking in with a weapon like this.”  “It would take common-sense steps to find common ground — Democrats and Republicans, gun owners and non-gun owners. ”

Law enforcement officials have been closely scrutinized since the Uvalde shooting incident. 376 officers from different agencies responded to it. The wounded had to wait for over an hour before they were rescued by a U.S Border Patrol tactical team. Salvador Ramos was killed by the team.

The state House published a 77-page investigative report last month. It detailed how Ramos ordered 1,740 ammunition from an online retailer. He had it delivered to his home for $1,761.50. After receiving the shipment, he returned to the store twice to obtain more ammunition.

According to the report, the gun shop owner described the attacker as an average customer with no suspicious conditions. The attacker was quiet and unassuming. The attacker said that he had been saved.

A thorough background check was conducted and the attacker was approved to purchase the items. Ramos was apparently teased about his potential role as a school shooter by his peers.

The investigative report noted that despite the school’s five-foot tall exterior fence and adopted security policies to lock exterior doors and internal classroom doors, there was a “culture of compliance” among staff who propped open doors. The school administration also “tacitly condoned” the skirting of safety protocols amid a shortage of keys for substitute teachers.

Investigators found Ramos’ disturbing past behavior after the shooting. Ramos’ unchecked and alarming past behavior was discovered by investigators in the wake of the shooting. One teacher claimed that he was the student she “feared the most “.
