Anna Sorokin is a con artist who has been convicted. She took to the floor of “Dancing With the Stars”. She’s wearing a light, sparkly ankle monitor.
The “fake heiress” who falsely claimed to be a wealthy German Heiress called Anna Delvey, was convicted of defrauding hotels, banks, and friends in 2019. She unveiled the ankle monitor that’s fit for the ballroom on Tuesday night during the first season of “Dancing With the Stars”.
There’s no problem. I asked them to make it tighter so that it wouldn’t dangle. She told The Associated Press after the premiere that it was not too bad. She and Ezra Sosa performed a dance routine to Sabrina Carpenter’s “Espresso.”
Sosa is a Sorokin enthusiast who said the ankle monitor was a star.
Sosa: I find it funny when people say that this is an ankle weight. It’s not.
Sorokin acknowledged that her debut didn’t go as planned.
She replied, “I am relieved that it is over. I could have done better, but I still had a great time. ”
Sorokin is hoping that her viewers will be able to forgive her past criminality.
“Hopefully people will give me, will give me a chance to show what I can do. And I served my time and I repaid my restitution,” she said.
Early reviews were not favorable. On social media site X, “Anna Delvey’s Lackluster DWTS Debut” was one of the most popular phrases.
She was released on February 20, 2021. She was then taken away by immigration authorities, who claimed that she had exceeded her visa. She was ordered to return to Germany.
Her release conditions had to be amended to allow her to travel to Los Angeles for filming.
While on home confinement, Sorokin has also gotten involved with a podcast and reality show.
