Communist Regime Survivor Gives Stark Warning to Americans, Youth Should Take Heed

We are seeing more people “embrace” communism and socialism. It is crucial for citizens to hear the stories of those who fled communist regimes like the Soviet Union, Cuba, and China. No matter what their teachers or politicians like Bernie Sanders (I-VT) tell them, young people are increasingly convinced that socialism, communism, and capitalism are the best options.

Xi Van Fleet survived Mao Zedong’s communist revolution in China. On Fox & Friends Weekend, she gave a clear warning to Americans.

“I just wanted to say that it’s so ironic”. 36 years ago, I fled socialism to escape freedom when I left China for this great country. Many Americans today are abandoning the freedom to join socialism. They don’t know what socialism is. Mao’s socialism was what I experienced. The government controls everything. They make all the decisions and determine how much food, meat, and oil I can have. What I should study in school, where I should go, what job I should do, and how to think. There were no options in the socialist society that I lived in. There is no freedom. That’s what people don’t know. It’s deliberate that the word “socialism” is so diluted. China is a socialist nation, I can assure you. Cuba and North Korea are both socialist countries. They are socialist countries run by communist parties. What’s the difference? What is the difference between communism and socialism? It’s not much. Karl Marx says that socialism is the first stage of communism.

The success and prosperity of the United States of America are dependent on capitalism. People must not resist the delusional rhetoric regarding socialism or communism, along with the multitude of historical facts that show how these systems have failed repeatedly. Young people will continue to believe they are the way forward. Although not all young people are socialists or communists, I graduated college in 2021 and can attest to the fact that professors do everything they can to educate them on these topics, especially in politics classes.

PragerU has produced multiple videos explaining the differences between capitalism and socialism. There is plenty of historical evidence to discredit the idea that communism and socialism are “good” and capitalism is “evil.” John Green from CrashCourse also made a comparison between capitalism and socialism. There are many videos, books, and articles on this topic. This topic has been extensively covered by RedState. I reported previously on a Venezuelan immigrant sharing his views about socialism’s dangers and the warning he gave Americans.

It is crucial to inform voters about the dangers and benefits of communism, and why capitalism is the only system that can provide opportunity and wealth for all Americans through hard work.
