Country Star Lauren Alaina Cancels Concerts to Mourn Father’s Death

The country singer posted on her social media that J.J. Suddeth died yesterday.

The singer of “Road Less Traveled”, announced that she would be canceling a few shows to spend time with her family.

She shared her post on Instagram: “We lost our daddy last evening, and I don’t have any words yet.”

“I’m going home this weekend to be with my parents, so I won’t be able to perform the three concerts I had planned for Savannah, Virginia Beach, and Charlotte.”

The cause of her father’s death was not immediately apparent.

“Thank you for your prayers and understanding,” she wrote before signing off her post with “Pinky,” a nickname given to her by her dad.

Alaina was on tour with Jason Aldean and scheduled to perform at the Carowinds Summer Music Festival.

Lauren posted a series on Instagram of photos from her wedding to honor her father.

Happy Father’s Day to my “old man” who has a Texas-sized heart! She wrote, “I love you so much Dad, and hope you have a great day fishing,” “Love, Your turd” (pinky).
