Lagging economies have consequences. When you combine that with a business that fluctuates in saturated markets filled to the brim, with a competitor that could invent you in a blink of an eye you will quickly see how caring and family-oriented a faceless corporation can become.
Google is known for being a caring company. It is at the forefront of every woke movement, making Google seem like a company that cares. This is not a new thing. It’s been done by virtually every company.
Every company wants to be the friend of the family or neighbor who can help you. To get this message across, these businesses spend millions to millions of dollars on marketing campaigns.
Google is no exception. However, despite Google being a company that deals in cutting-edge products, its primary concern is not you, it is your wallet. A corporation is still a corporation at the end of it all.
After Google cut 12,000 jobs, this is how Google employees who were recently laid off felt. People who worked for the company for over a decade realized that Google was not the friendly company they had believed it to be.
According to the New York Post, employees suddenly found themselves jobless through an “automated account deactivation at 3 am.”
One Twitter user wrote, “It’s hard to believe that after twenty years at #Google, I unexpectedly discover about my last day via email,” It was a rude slap on the face. “I wish I could have said goodbye face to face to everyone.”

Another claimed that they discovered the information when their phone sent them a termination notification and locked them out of all access to her corporate accounts. However, they received an email shortly after.
I found out because I woke up to my phone sending me a notification that my phone service would be shut off soon. And all my corp account stuff was locked out. Saw the email later.

“Today, my 15+-year journey at Google came to an abrupt end when bleary-eyed and still half asleep, I checked my smartphone and saw a notification about my corporate access expiring alongside an NYT notification announcing layoffs,” Elizabeth Hart, senior marketing manager on Linkedin.
It’s tragic that people can suddenly lose their jobs or livelihoods in a flash of an eye. However, it should serve as a reminder to everyone that every corporation action is taken because they believe it will be beneficial for the company. It’s just a PR win to make it appear like it is a socially conscious company.
If the world decides that it is really into American conservatism, and values the constitution and all its rights, Google will transform into a pro-American company that loves God, guns, and freedom. The Google logo would include references to Christianity and the founding fathers.
It would believe such things. It probably wouldn’t. It is possible that the world would decide to form a cult around Sesame Street Elmo. Then it would tell you how much they love and worship this great and magnificent Elmo.
Google is called “woke” simply because it feels that it can make the most money. But it isn’t really a “woke” company. It’s only the way it dresses up for the party. It is not your typical internet company. It is a corporation that will play on your emotions in order to get you to give it money.
This is, hopefully, a wake-up call for many.
