Robert F. Kennedy Jr. a former third-party candidate who is now Donald Trump’s surrogate insisted during the debate on social media that Harris only got the support of over 200 former Republican employees because they were part of the establishment.

RFK commented about a letter of endorsement for Kamala Harris written last month by over 200 Republicans, who had previously worked for Trump; George W. Bush, former Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.), as well as Sen. Mitt Mitt Romney (R-Utah).

Kennedy, who spoke less than an hour after the debate began, said that the establishment Republicans were closer to VP Harris’ views than President Trump. He added, “They are what I have called the ‘uniparty’.” “Trump runs against the establishment and that’s what they hate.”

Ahead of the debate, the Harris campaign released an advertisement featuring former top Trump officials who have either criticized the former president before or indicated they will not be endorsing him this election. Among the officials included in the ad were former Trump defense secretary, Mark Esper, and Trump’s former running mate, Mike Pence.
