Shania Twain made a simple error on stage during her Las Vegas residency.

The 58-year-old country music star seemingly forgot which hand she was holding her microphone in while singing “(If You’re Not in It for Love) I’m Outta Here!” Twain held the mic in one hand and put a drumstick prop up to her lips to belt out the lyrics before realizing her mistake.

She said, “Oh my god, that was hilarious” into the microphone after the gaffe.

The moment was captured on video by a fan.

Twain captioned her fan video on Instagram: “I’m glad somebody caught this moment. It’s made me laugh again.”

The comments in the article were full of admiration because the singer was not lip-syncing.

One user commented, “That shows that she sings live.”

Another added, “Proof that she’s not lip-syncing.”

One comment said, “The way that you seamlessly continued this is amazing. You were purely in the present.”

Twain performs in Las Vegas, Nevada at her Planet Hollywood residency “Come on Over.”

Before the start of Twain’s residency, Twain shared her pre-show ritual: an all-liquid diet.

Twain told People magazine that if she ate solids before the show, she would have to burp. It’s a nightmare because you can’t sing if there’s a burp. “I don’t usually eat solid food on show days, until after the performance. Only liquids.”

Twain revealed that she also follows a rigorous exercise regimen, similar to an athlete.

The Sun quoted her as saying: “I am an athlete. I need to breathe. I need to project. I pace everything.”
