Israeli Defense Forces claim to have killed a Hamas top intelligence official during an airstrike in Gaza on Thursday.

Israel identified him as Shadi Bárud, the deputy director of Hamas’ Intelligence Directorate. He is among several senior Hamas leaders who have been killed in Gaza over the past few days.

The Israeli military announced on X (formerly Twitter) that an IDF air strike had killed Shadi Barud. He was involved in the planning for the October 7 massacre, as well as countless other deadly acts of violence against Israelis.

“We will continue our strikes and eliminate Hamas leaders, operatives, and those responsible for these barbaric acts,” the statement added.

Israel is still preparing for an invasion of Gaza’s northern part, which Benjamin Netanyahu, the Israeli Prime Minister says will happen soon.
