The Australian Police said on Thursday that they busted “The Commission”, a drug trafficking group, which brought in more than one ton of cocaine into the country within a matter of months.

In a press release, the New South Wales Police Force reported that six men between 25 and 35 years old were arrested during raids that uncovered more than 30 kilograms of cocaine. This included 20 kilograms of cocaine that had been placed in a bag, stuffed with other drugs, and then thrown over a fence.

The police claimed that this was only a fraction of the total cocaine supply. They said the group had moved 1.2 tons between February and July of this year.

The police claimed that the street price of the drugs is about US$1 Billion.

The police said that detectives executed search warrants in 20 homes throughout Sydney on Wednesday morning. Detectives also seized a Rolex, four guns, and two ballistic vests, as well as $800,000. The police said that officers found 12 kilograms of cocaine hidden in compartments within the vehicles.

Peter Faux, a detective in organized crime, said that the group “played a role as government and bank to Sydney’s criminal underground” through an aggressive pace of cocaine imports.

Faux said that “these arrests will lead to many criminals losing their jobs as the large-scale supply of drugs which finances their crimes will dry up.”

Police confiscated plastic-wrapped packages marked with Toyota logos, four-leaf clover symbols, and fighter jets.

In a press release, NSW Police Force commissioner Karen Webb stated that the supply of cocaine into Sydney had continued to poison this town for years. It has also fueled and financed the organized tit tot violence police witness today. “I’m confident that the arrests made today will make our community safer, and this dangerous drug harder for people to find.”

The raids didn’t seem to be connected to the arrest of the alleged criminal genius behind the encrypted “Ghost app”.

In this case, an Australian man aged 32 allegedly created a channel encrypted for foreign criminals to facilitate drug deals and contract murders.

A separate case was brought earlier this year in which an alleged drug dealer was charged for being connected to the mysterious bricks of cocaine that washed up along Australian beaches.
