Brazilians, led by former President Jairbolsonaro, have protested in mass against the dictatorial government’s crackdown on freedom of speech.

Brazil celebrated its Independence Day on Saturday, September 7th.

Kamala Harris, if she wins the 2024 election, will become the Vice President under the Biden Administration, which created the Censorship Industrial Complex. Consider voting if you want to avoid a government shutdown similar to that of Brazil.

Participants described the rally as a gathering to defend liberty against the increasing censorship of Luiz Inacio da Silva’s socialist presidency. They were also angry with the Brazilian Supreme Court and the Supreme Federal Tribunal. The protest was a response to the increasing number of repressive actions against conservatives. STF Minister for Justice, Alexandre de Moraes, has declared war on “fake news” by raiding lawmakers, YouTube personalities, and others who are outspoken.

The Brazilian Government was furious when X, a firm that had previously complied with some censorship demands, refused to comply.

De Moraes’ power trip included a media ban during the elections in 2022 on Lula’s corruption convictions. Lula can still use the term “cannibal” to smear Bolsonaro. It is no surprise that the latest actions are the banning of X, and the fines for those who use a VPN to circumvent this ban.

Bolsonaro and his supporters have been vocal in their opposition to the Lula de Moraes regime’s censorship.

Bolsonaro, in a speech on September 7, 2017, called for the government to act to stop de Moraes from overreaching. “I’m hoping the Federal Senate puts a stop to Alexandre de Moraes,” Bolsonaro said in a translation of a report published by Estadao that this dictator was doing more damage to Brazil than Luiz Inacio Lula.

Elon Musk, owner of X and a prominent figure in the debate, has weighed in on the issue this weekend. He responded “Thanks” for Mario Nawfal’s summary article in the Washington Post, and then reposted this tweet: “ELON is right…MORAES is turning Brazil into China! ”

The Communist Party of China has a strict policy of censorship. Musk, who made major investments in China and is a close ally of the CCP, works with Lula’s government.

Musk celebrated X’s continued dominance after its suspension in Brazil.

X continues to censor users but allows more freedom of expression than most mainstream platforms. Musk’s claim that he is a “free speech absolutist” may not be true. But radical socialists will not accept any freedom.
