Robert Telles was arrested Wednesday night by the Las Vegas Democratic office for allegedly shooting Jeff German, a Las Vegas Review-Journal journalist over negative media coverage.
German was attacked and killed outside his home on Friday night. Police released a photo showing a red SUV that they believe was involved.
Telles, a Clark County official, accused German of defaming him and ruining his reputation. This was the reason he lost in June’s Democratic primary.

German worked on a story about Telles during the weeks before his death.
Glenn Cook, an Executive Editor at Review-Journal, said that Robert Telles’ arrest was both a great relief for the newsroom and a scandal.
