The Republican National Convention is a fantastic event. Everyone has united behind the Republican ticket of former President Donald Trump (R-OH), and Sen. JDVance. There have been some fun and inspirational moments, such as Trump’s emotional entrance into the hall two days after Saturday’s attempted assassination.
Americans are infuriated by the revelations about the shooter, the Secret Service’s knowledge of him and the time they were aware. Thomas Matthew Crooks was on the Secret Service’s radar at least 10 minutes before Trump entered the stage. They were aware that he was a danger. But they let him go. This was in addition to the fact that Crooks had been on law enforcement’s radar for some time. By 5:45, or 26 minutes before the shooting, local law enforcement had taken pictures of Crooks. They had taken a second photo of him one hour earlier.
But nothing was done.
The Secret Service Director was mocked on X when she said that the roof Crooks was standing on was “sloped.” She claimed this could have been a “safety” factor to not put an agent there.

The Secret Service conducted a “briefing”, but only responded to four questions, according to reports. The Secret Service did not answer the many questions about what happened.
As Sen. Ron Johnson, R-WI, noted: “This further enflamed the people.”
The USSS Senate briefing was unbelievably uninformative.
Only 4 questions were allowed.
The rest of us are supposed to submit questions. I already have. Awaiting a response.

When Secret Service Director Kim Cheatle appeared at the Republican National Convention in Washington on Wednesday, Senators demanded answers. I don’t know why Cheatle is there. But Sen. Marsha (R-TN), and other senators, surrounded her and bombarded her with questions. They demanded to know why the Secret Service was not providing answers. Sen. John Barrasso, R-WY, told her that he wanted her to resign. “Resignation, or give us a full explanation right now!” Barasso demanded.

Barrasso told her they could find somewhere else to speak. I believe she said it wasn’t the right place. She told them she was going, and they agreed to accompany her. They followed her down the hall and continued to scold her: “No shame, No concern!” You answer to us! This was an assassination! “You owe answers to the people!” “You owe answers to President Trump!” The men were furious, and they chased her through the hall. They finally rushed into a small room and shut the door.

They demanded her resignation, and they issued her a subpoena to appear at a hearing before the Congress. We’ll just have to wait and see if she turns up.
