The families of those who died during Joe Biden’s withdrawal from Afghanistan made a devastating speech at the Republican National Convention held in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on Wednesday night. They spoke about his actions before, during, and after his withdrawal and his refusal to acknowledge the fallen.
The segment featured multiple members, but the comments were all so powerful that many media outlets and pundits described the moment as both “powerful” (for Joe Biden) and “devastating”.

The speech was a part of RNC’s theme for Wednesday night, which focused on safety. The moment was powerful for the Republican candidate and brutal for Biden.
MSNBC, not to be outdone by the RNC, cut away just as the Gold Star Families took the stage. They had instead the DNC chairman on, who was making jokes while the speech was being delivered.
