J.D. Vance Has Questions After Ukraine’s Transgender Propagandist Goes on a Strange Rant

Why is Sarah Ashton Cirillo, who claims to be from Nevada, leading Ukraine’s English propaganda campaign? J.D. Vance, a senator from New York, is interested in this. Vance wants to know the truth after the latest wild rant of the “transgender” spokesperson went viral.

Watch the rant below:

ASHTON-CIRILLO: Russia hates the truth. Their obsessive focus on a Ukranian volunteer is simply allowing the light of the Ukranian nation’s honesty to shine brightly. Next week, the teeth of the Russian devils will gnash ever harder, and their rabid mouths will foam in an uncontrollable frenzy as the world will see a favorite Kremlin propagandist pay for their crimes. And this puppet of Putin is only the first. Russia’s war criminal propagandists will all be hunted down, and justice will be served as we in Ukraine are led on this mission by faith in God, liberty, and complete liberation.

I first saw this organically at first (i.e. Not having seen it in another article) I initially thought it was a parody. I thought this was a case of an overly enthusiastic individual who didn’t realize that they were likely alienating people from Ukraine rather than attracting them. Ashton Cirillo, however, is not the spokesperson of the Territorial Defense Force, as reported by multiple sources.

France 24 recently did an uplifting profile on him.

She is getting the results she wants.

Last week, Russian TV aired an hour-long program in which Ashton Cirillo was called a “monster” and “a terrible disgrace for the Ukrainian people”.

Ashton Cirillo has a background as a journalist and researcher. She said that she had only planned to stay two weeks in Ukraine.

She is now a junior sergeant, and she hosts live YouTube shows in her studio entitled “Russia Hates the Truth” and “Ukraine Knows”.

Ashton Cirillo, and the media outlets that praise him for “getting results”, seem to believe that Russian outrage proves this. The article linked above, for example, cites an alleged “obsession”, by Russian media outlets with Ashton Cirillo’s comments.

What is the real meaning of this? It seems possible that Russian media are taking advantage. Ashton Cirillo’s “transgender identity” alone is contrary to the majority of Russian views. What better way to drive support for war than having a foil-like Ashton Cirillo? It doesn’t matter that Putin’s propaganda is boosted by threatening to kill “propagandists”, not only those who have waged a war against Ukraine.

And I believe that Ukraine has made a grave mistake by putting a man dressed in a wig on a platform to issue death threats. This cheapens Ukraine’s war effort, making it appear as a joke. As someone who believes Ukraine has the right to defend itself (albeit without an unlimited stream of U.S. dollars), this seems counterproductive.

Sen. J.D. Vance wants answers.

Ashton Cirillo, a former member of the Ukrainian military who is alleged to be involved in this ominous message that quickly became viral, was questioned by Sen. Vance about his background and current role.

In recent days, an individual claiming to be a spokesperson of the Ukrainian military in English has been circulating a video. Sarah Ashton Cirillo is seen in the video looking directly at the camera, threatening physical violence against anyone who spreads ‘Russian propagandists’. He wrote this letter to Sec. Blinken Sec Austin and Director Haines.

Vance then asks if Ashton Cirillo is connected to U.S. Intelligence, which has been rumored for a long time. The senator noted that many Americans have also been included in the “propagandists’ death threats made by the TDF spokeswoman.

Will he receive any answers? Most likely not. Ashton Cirillo is not the best choice to represent the English-speaking Ukrainian audience. However, officials in Ukraine should consider this carefully. From where I sit, it seems to me that it is hurting the war effort.
