New York Mayor Eric Adams supported Vice President Kamala for president on Monday, despite his previous statements criticizing the Biden Administration’s handling of our southern border.

Adams stated this during an interview on MSNBC’s Morning Joe. “Everyone is aware of my position on public safety and she has been very vocal during the campaign,” Adams said. “I believe that she is what the party needs now.”

Adams’ remarks contrast with what he said to CNN the night before about the Biden Administration’s border policy, which Republicans blamed for the record number of illegal immigrants who entered the United States.

Biden named Harris as the “border czar”, to tackle the root causes of illegal migration to the U.S. and help reduce the flow of Central American migrants along the southern border.

Adams said during a Town Hall Meeting that the migrant crises “will destroy New York City” at one point.

Adams told CNN’s Erin Burnett, “I have been frustrated by the national leadership.” “We have been failing at immigration reform for years. This was even before this administration. It was clear. “We needed a single person, a czar to deal with the influx of migrants who were paroled into our country.”

Sources claim that Harris hasn’t spoken to Border Patrol chief Jason Owens. Owens became the chief of Border Patrol last year, amid a border crisis that now enters its third year.

According to polls, the crisis is a major concern for voters. Republicans have attacked the Trump administration over the crisis. They claim that the rollback of Trump’s policies caused the crisis.

Adams praised Harris in a thread posted on X Monday. He said that the Democratic Party needed to unite and offer a platform that would deliver a safer and more affordable future, and bring the nation together as a united front against the dangerous Republican agenda.
