Sky News in the U.K. cut off their live stream when a group shouted “Free Palestine” (free Palestine) and profanities during its report.

Sky News reported that groups of Muslim men had gathered in Birmingham to “defend the streets” from the “far right”, according to the outlet. Following the stabbing death of three girls last week, riots broke out in England.

As Johnson spoke, a group of masked men riding bikes approached their reporter and began shouting at the crew and them.

“Free Palestine!” shouted a man at the camera.

Johnson replied, “I’m sorry for the language but I can feel the anger.”

Sky News abruptly cut the live feed as more men in masks approached the camera.

Mark Austin, the flustered Sky News presenter, responded in the studio, saying “Casey, I think – Becky, I apologize. We need to leave Becky where she is. “We’ll provide security. I apologize for the language there. ”

Multiple accounts shared the clip on X.

Sky News has updated its Live Blog with an update regarding the “tense situation” that occurred during the broadcast.

Sky News reported that Johnson spoke to a Muslim leader, who helped gather over 1,000 Muslim men on that day in Birmingham. They were “protecting” their community and “defending” it. As well as “calming the anger” caused by riots against migrants that had taken place the previous days.

Sky News reported the reporter was forced to leave the airwaves when “some [men] on bikes came over and started screaming and swearing at the camera.”

Johnson reportedly said that the media were not welcomed at all.

Recently, there have been riots in England due to false rumors spread on the internet. The rumor was that an asylum seeker was responsible for mass stabbing three girls during a Taylor Swift-themed dance event.

Over the past six days, police officers have been hospitalized after they were injured by bricks and chairs. They also suffered injuries from bottles, large wooden posts, and even broken glass.

After the police dispersed the crowds, asylum seekers and residents were evacuated.

Keir Starmer, the British Prime Minister said that on Monday a “standing army” of police experts would be created to combat rioting. He also stated that the justice system would be strengthened to deal with hundreds of arrests after violent disorder rocked Britain over the past week.

Starmer said on Monday, “Whatever the motive may be, this is pure violence and we will not tolerate attacks against our Muslim community or mosques.” “All those who are identified as participants will be subject to the full force of the law.”
