WaPo, NYT Refuse to Return Pulitzers for Spreading Lies About Russia Collusion Hoax

I’m not going to say that The Washington Post or The New York Times were aware from the start that the purported Russia “collusion” story — that Donald Trump conspired to interfere with the 2016 presidential elections by working with Russia — was a hoax. But I will say that left-wing rags, and other left-wing “news” outlets, wanted to be misled all along. Why? Stage 4 Trump Derangement Syndrome.

WaPo, and the NYT, won Pulitzer Prizes for “deeply sourced coverage, relentlessly reported” on the Democrat-pushed hoax. Uh-huh. Sourced from people like the thoroughly discredited former FBI Director, James Comey, and others.

Moreover, after the publication of the Durham Report which stated: “Neither the U.S. or the Intelligence Community appeared to have any actual evidence of collaboration in their holdings when the Crossfire Hurricane Investigation began,

A WaPo spokesperson said to Daily Mail that the paper “stands behind its reporting” and insisted absurdly that the report did not discredit the coverage of the crocks-of-crap it continuously swallowed — hook, line, and sinker. Daily Mail’s request for comment was ignored by the New York Times.

How did the Putlizer Board in 2022 know what the report revealed? The spokesperson cited an analysis by the Pulitzer Board from 2022, which stated that no elements of the reports were “discredited” by new facts after the awarding of the Pulitzer Prizes. The question is rhetorical, but it’s a good one.

In my opinion, the left-wing media puppets did not just know they were being lied too, but they also loved it.

The refusal of both publications to return their Pulitizers following the Durham Report should not surprise anyone; it is the quintessential (non-)action of leftism. Daily Mail has more.

The Post published many stories about Trump campaign staffers including former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn contacting Russian officials.

The New York Times has not responded to our questions about whether it stands by its “Russiagate” reporting.

DailyMail.com is aware that a number of the outlets who broke these exclusives worked closely together to produce the story.

One source familiar with the way the media has reported on the claims of collusion said: “If Americans could see how this sausage is made, they’d be horrified.”

The move comes at a time when Republican lawmakers are demanding that both newspapers return their prizes for what they’ve branded as a “witch hunt.”

Republican Senators. Lindsey Graham and Ted Cruz, both Republicans from South Carolina, called on discredited newspapers to return their Pulitzers. Graham said to Fox News as reported by Daily Mail.

I believe the Pulitzer Prizes awarded to Washington Post and New York Times are a mistake. The whole episode was political crap. This is not something for which you should be awarded a Pulitzer Prize.

Cruz attacked both papers for “breathlessly spreading these Russia, Russia and Russia’ lies.”

The FBI has released a statement in response to the Durham Report that is somewhere between revisionist and outright lies:

Special Counsel Durham’s investigation of the conduct in 2016-2017 led to the current FBI leadership implementing dozens corrective measures, some of which have been in place since a while. If these reforms had been implemented in 2016, it would have prevented the mistakes identified in the report. This report highlights the need to ensure that the FBI does its work with the rigor and objectivity the American people deserve.

Oh, please. Translation: We’re trying to hide our TDS pants after we got caught.

Why weren’t these actions announced prior to the release of the Report? Give me a break.

James Comey is not available to comment.
