Millions of people have viewed a viral video showing a woman using a fire extinguisher to terrorize workers and travelers at the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, in Georgia.
According to Newsweek, around 9:30 on Tuesday, a woman in Ohio went to Buffalo Wild Wings at the airport. She ran out of money.
Jennifer Kaye Holder (27), from Dayton, Ohio, is alleged to have made her way toward Delta Airlines Gate D9. She allegedly tried to open the security doors to a Delta Airlines jetway but failed because she did not know the security code.
Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport workers were heard telling Holder: “You can’t get out that door ma’am.”
The woman shouted, “I’m Dayton, we kill everybody every day.”
The woman from Ohio was seen walking down the concourse corridor while holding a fire extinguisher. Holder was attempting to approach an airport worker when she was filmed spraying the fire extinguisher in his face.
The video was recorded by a man who said, “She’s a terrorist.”
She thought about exiting at another gate. The woman spray the jetway doors with the fire extinguisher after airline workers rushed to close them. The woman then sprayed the entire gate with a fire extinguisher, until there was very limited visibility due to thick clouds.
The man who recorded the video stated that the chemicals tasted “nasty.”
It appeared as though a police officer was running toward the suspect in the final seconds of the video.
Fox 5 Atlanta reported that Holder sprayed officers while they tried to arrest her. According to police, Holder continued to be aggressive and violent and kicked and punched officers.
Atlanta Police Department officers eventually were able to arrest the woman and book her in Clayton County Jail. She had been treated for minor injuries.
According to online jail records, Holder was charged with obstruction of law enforcement officers, two counts of simple assault, and three counts of simple battery.
According to Delta Airlines, three flight attendants were admitted with respiratory problems after being sprayed by the fire extinguisher.
Delta Airlines spokesperson stated that the behavior of the woman was unacceptable and would not be accepted on future Delta flights.
The spokesperson said that Delta was grateful to its people, the best in business, who responded quickly to the changing situation and were the first responders who made sure the safety of customers and employees following the incident.
