AOC Summoned as Homeless NYC Man Charged with Hate Crime for Pooping on LGBTQ Flag

In true Democrat “never let a crisis go to waste” mode, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) was one of the loudest voices on the hard left politicizing and racializing the death of 30-year-old New York City homeless man Jordan Neely almost immediately after the incident was reported by the media.

AOC claimed that Daniel Penny, a 24-year-old Marine who allegedly put Neely into a “headlock”, or “chokehold”, after being allegedly aggressive and threatening, “murdered” him. Neely died at a hospital nearby. Penny was recently charged by the D.A. Alvin Bragg is charged with second-degree manslaughter.

“Killing the poor and mentally ill is wrong.” She wrote, “Why is that so difficult to say?” in a tweet. In another, she shared a link to a website that argued that locking up mentally ill people was not preventing crime.

Her words helped to incite a peaceful protest which saw far-left activists take to the streets in typical Antifa/BLM style, causing havoc in the process. This was in response to the death of Neely who, as a Michael Jackson Impersonator in NYC, had been arrested over 40 times, including four times for alleged assault.

Ocasio Cortez, however, has remained silent about the arrest of a homeless man in NYC who is facing hate crime charges… after he allegedly peed on a restaurant’s LGBTQ flag, and then used poop to wipe his face.

The owner of the restaurant declared that “this was a total crime” and thanked the NYPD’s hate crimes division for “working so hard” to find the alleged perp.

The owner stated, “If I am asked to appear in court, I will press for the maximum amount possible.”

According to reports, Mr. Innocent sounds like a repeat offender, as we have read in the New York Post.

While he should have been charged, it seems over the-top to me that a law enforcement team that is already stretched thin has spent valuable time and resources tracking down and arresting a man for a “hate crime” that did not harm anyone. This is especially true in an area with the serious crime issues that NYC has.

AOC could use her voice, in this case, to say that the man is overcharged, and perhaps should pay a fine, do community service, but not go to jail. She won’t because AOC is a slave to the woke LGBTQ Community. She will look the other side on this, even if a book is thrown against the perp and the “maximum charges” filed, as the undoubtedly gay restaurant owner wishes because she knows it’s politically expedient.
