A 14-year-old male armed with a handgun — along with a similarly armed adult — pistol-whipped a victim in the back of his head during a pot-smoking session in Jonesboro, Georgia, earlier this month and made off with the victim’s cellphone, Clayton County Police said.

They didn’t get far. Officers immediately used “Find My iPhone” to locate the suspects.

According to police, the attack took place in Tara Boulevard’s 6700 blocks at 3:00 PM on Jan 7. Police also stated that officers could track the location of suspects using the app.

Police stated that they found the two men in the vicinity of Jesters Lake Drive and North Main Street. They are approximately two miles away from the crime scene.

The 14-year-old suspect — cops didn’t name him or show a photo of him due to his age — complied with all commands and were immediately taken into custody without incident, police said, adding that they found a Google Pixel cellphone and a 9mm handgun in the juvenile’s underwear. Police said the phone and gun were stolen during a different incident.

The 14-year-old was charged with armed robbery, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, and possession of a handgun by a person under 18, police said.

The adult suspect — identified as Chase Phillips, 21 — tried to get away on foot, but police said they caught him after a short foot chase.

Phillips was carrying a Bryco Arms black/silver handgun. Phillips was also charged with Armed Burglary, Aggravated Attack, Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor, Violation of the Georgia Controlled Substances Act, and Obstructing an Officer. Phillips was also a pedestrian on the roadway, according to police.

Police claimed that they took two guns, two phones, and marijuana from each suspect.

Cops stated that the victim had been treated for a head injury.
