Biden’s Buy America Routine Turns Into One Big Foreseeable Headache

First, a slight digression before we get started. Not so long ago, Donald Trump made xenophobic comments like “Make America Great Again!” and “Buy America!” How would the Democrats lose their crap and call him Hitler? [barely sarc] Yes, me too. Guess what?

Joe Biden believes or has been forced to believe by his multitude of intentional failures pretending he believes that “Buy America”, isn’t so bad after all. The problem is only one, and it’s even worse. This problem may be exacerbated by Joe Biden, but that’s not the main problem.

According to The Washington Post, Biden’s “Buy America” initiative, which he claims will encourage domestic manufacturing and spur a blue-collar revival, is facing an ironic problem. The U.S. doesn’t produce many of the products required for modernizing roads, bridges, and ports.

You may recall that Biden’s $1 trillion “infrastructure” plan, which is highly praised by Democrats and their lapdog media, requires that U.S. materials are used. Remember how Barney Fife Biden made the demand so fervently? Oopsie, Joe.

This strange dynamic was made public when the U.S. Department of Transportation refused to grant a request from the nation’s ports for federal infrastructure funds to purchase import dock cranes, boat lifts, and other equipment. Industry officials claimed that there are no domestic manufacturers.

According to the American Association of Port Authorities, although some small cargo-handling units can be made in the United States of America, all of the electric models supporting the administration’s climate goals are manufactured overseas.

The infrastructure legislation contains more requirements regarding the use of American-made materials in construction projects that are federally funded. This includes copper, drywall, and fiber-optic cable.

This month, the administration issued new guidance to determine whether substances and manufactured goods used in such projects are “made in America” and invited public comments on many details. The spring construction season is approaching.

Biden’s desire to increase domestic production is in direct contradiction to the fact that not all materials can be obtained from the United States in the time needed, according to groups representing agencies and industries responsible for building them.

Apart from the obvious problems Team Biden should have known about before Mumbles Biden launched the initiative, “Made in the USA”, while swell with the Democrat Party, “Make America Great Again” amounts to fascism. These people don’t get why rational people consider the Democrat Party to be the most hypocritical organization on the planet.

Jim McDonnell, the director of engineering at the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials summarized it in a succinct for WaPo:

They want to stimulate the industry. They seem to be trying too hard, and too fast.

Another important point: Biden’s clown-car mentality administration and woefully inept Biden are in panic mode driven by survey after survey showing that the majority of Americans want nothing to do with Joe Biden or Joe Biden policies in 2024.

According to WaPo, one of the biggest headaches facing the administration is:

Local and state transportation officials are concerned that they won’t be able to get enough reflective glass beads to make highway pavement safety strips. According to a summary of last year’s meetings between industry representatives and top DOT officials, materials for high-speed railway systems are almost all made in Japan or Europe.

We haven’t even touched on the “Made in China” problem. Joe didn’t’s-pose Joe discussed that topic with his friend Xi in their last chat.

People, don’t worry, there is no need to make much fuss about it. Two senior administration officials spoke under anonymity to say that Biden officials plan to waive the “Buy America” rules when it is politically expedient and to continue a dialogue with industry groups to resolve specific issues.

It is there.

“Lunch Bucket Joey” from Scranton crows on his “blue-collar blueprint for rebuild America and make a significant difference in your life at home” — which is aimed directly at working-class voters, who have been abandoned by the Democrat Party because their economic fortunes were upended not only through Biden’s intentional crises, but also by globalization — but the administration will still violate its “Buy America” rules when it deems necessary.

Joe and Hunter (Joe’s crackhead son), continue to kiss the ChiComs as if they were the ring.
