O the hypocrisy of humanity!
Republican lawmakers and conservatives were out in force this weekend to criticize Massachusetts Democrats for their hypocrisy in declaring “sanctuary cities” across the state, and then swiftly booting 50 migrants from Martha’s Vineyard.
Last week, the Republican governors of Texas, Florida, and Florida sent migrants to the small island and front yard of Vice President Kamala Harris’ official Washington, D.C. residence. Liberals lost their minds. The White House declared it all a “political stunt”.
Here’s the truth: President Joe Biden sent illegal immigrants, sometimes thousands or thousands, into various states throughout the country at night.
Rep. Michael Waltz (R.FL) stated that the outrage expressed by liberals over the governors’ moves is not comparable to the “ghost flights,” often underage migrants, sent by the Biden administration.
Waltz stated that “Those are Biden administration contracts, taxpayer-funded contracts with several NGOs [nongovernmental organizations] who are flying these people at night to all these same places, then it’s okay.” Waltz spoke to Fox News.
He said, “But if Governor DeSantis, Governor Abbott or [Arizona] Gov Ducey do it in the middle-of-the-day when everyone can see it then suddenly we’re up to arms and having an collective political meltdown.”
The lawmaker stated that “either way, all those services that American citizens or legal immigrants deserve are now being taxes by millions and million and millions of people that just can’t afford food, house, and clothing.”
Ted Cruz (R.TX) was also involved in the debate on Sunday and defended the governor of Florida.
He wrote that the National Guard was sent to arrest 50 illegal immigrants who disrupted liberals’ golf games and Chardonnay at Martha’s Vineyard. Biden has done absolutely nothing to help the 4.2 MILLION illegal immigrant who have flooded Texas’ small towns. Biden doesn’t care.”
Cruz tweeted, “Last Year Martha Vineyard leadership stated they’d love Martha’s Vineyard as a ‘haven’ to immigrants.” “But, with only 50 illegal aliens it took them 24 hours to deport them from the Vineyard!”
Cruz called Biden also “the largest human trafficker on the planet”.
Others also jumped in.
“Just 50 illegal aliens entered Martha’s Vineyard and in 48 hours, the wealthy liberal residents picked them up and sent them off to a military base,” Michael Knowles of The Daily Wire tweeted.
Rep. Lauren Boebert (R.CO) stated that “any residents of Martha’s Vineyard with a ‘Coexist’ bumper stickers on their cars are hereby required”
It was Dave Smith, comedian, who brought it all full circle.
He wrote that the Martha’s Vineyard incident might be the most clear and compelling example of what many of us have been discussing for years. “The progressive elites support policies that they will never have to face the consequences of. The moment they do, it’s over quickly.
They live in gated communities, but are opposed to building a wall. They support gun control, but they are also for armed security. They degrade public education and send their children to elite private schools. Smith wrote that they support mask mandates, but their servants don’t wear them at parties.”
