Anna “Chickadee”, Mama June’s daughter, passed away Saturday after a long battle with cancer. She was only 29-years-old.

In January, the reality star was diagnosed with stage four adrenal carcinoma. She gained fame as Honey Boo Boo’s older sister.

Mama June posted on Instagram, on Sunday: “With a broken heart, we announce that @annamarie35 is no longer with us. She passed away peacefully at my house last night at 11:12 PM. She fought for 10 months and then passed away peacefully with her family by her side. We will update you with any new information we receive today.”

Mama June said, “We love you all and hope you will continue to pray and think about our family during this difficult time.”

Cardwell’s daughters Kaitlyn and Kylee are still living.

Honey Boo Boo’s full name is Alana Thompson. She wrote on Instagram last night that her family had surrounded Anna in love to let them know “it was okay for her to leave.”

“Anna’s pain was so great last night, but we know as a whole family that she is now at peace.” “I don’t even know what to write as my heart has been broken,” wrote the woman. It hasn’t always been easy to watch my sister, 29, fight this terrible disease. Anna was and still is a fighter. Lord, please wrap your arms around her two babies and our family. The next few days will bring this to reality.”

“I am so happy that you waited until I got home before taking your last breath!” she added. I wish you could have seen me graduate from college, but I’m sure you will cheer me on forever in heaven! We will make sure that your legacy is carried on by all of us. I promise to always celebrate our birthday as if you had never left. Today the sky is a bit different. “We will always love Anna.”

In a joint statement, representatives from WE TV, Thinkfactory Media, and other media outlets said that they were “deeply saddened” by Anna Cardwell’s death. She was a mother, sister, friend, and daughter who loved her family. Our sincere condolences go out to June, Pumpkin, and Jessica, as well as their families, during this difficult period. Anna’s light and spirit will live on in her memory. She will be missed but never forgotten.

In 2011, the Shannon family starred in TLC’s reality series “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo”, which focuses on child pageantry shows. They then received their spin-off in 2012, “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo”.

The show ran for four years before it was canceled in the middle of filming of the fifth season after it was revealed that June was dating someone who had been sent to prison for molestation of Cardwell as a child.

In 2017, June had her show, “Mama June – From Not to Hot”, which detailed her dramatic weight loss. The fourth season was rebranded to “Mama June – Family Crisis”.

Shannon, who was arrested in 2019 and charged with drug possession, revealed that in 2021 she spent nearly $1 million in drugs at the height of her addiction.

She told Access Hollywood that addiction runs in her family. “I’ve been around drugs my whole life. My brother-in-law has been busted multiple times for selling dope. And my sisters are pill addicts who have undergone surgery.” “I started using meth at the age of 20. It was called crank back then.”

Two years ago she was already 14 months sober and only had “$1.75 to my name” when I went into rehab.” She also suffered from a deterioration in her relationship with her daughters.

She said that her bank account was overdrawn by tens of thousands of dollars. “I’d say that in the last year, we spent probably $900,000”.
