Former President Donald Trump criticized the way Vice President Kamalah Harris became the Democratic Presidential nominee in his remarks during a press briefing at Mar-a-Lago (Florida) on Thursday afternoon.

A reporter asked Trump for clarification on his statement on Truth Social, that the nomination of Harris to replace Joe Biden as the nominee on the ticket would be against the Constitution.

He replied:

We have a constitution. It is a very important piece of paper. We live by it. She is unpopular. From that perspective, I am not at all unhappy about running against her. I’m sorry to defend [Biden], he didn’t want to go. He wanted to know if he would win. After the debate, they said, “You won’t win.” You cannot win. You’re out.” At first, they said this nicely and he didn’t leave. But then, as you can see, everything changed. They said they would go through another vote and go through the primary system. They just chose the person who was first out. She was the first loser. Okay, we call her “the first loser” because she was the loser in the primary system during the Democrat Primary System. She was the very first to give up. She quit. She was not supported, she had no votes and, by the way, she was a terrible debater. Very bad debater. It’s not what I want to see, but she’s a terrible debater. She did a poor job. She never got to Iowa. He picked her for some reason — and you regret it too — and she turned against him. She was working for the people who wanted him gone. You can lose the primary, but you still get picked to be president. This seems to be unconstitutional. Perhaps it’s not.

Since becoming a candidate for the presidency, Harris hasn’t held a single press conference or interview.

Trump said that Harris was “worse” than Biden, and “not as intelligent.”
